About SOLDT

Commerce infrastructure,
built for South Africa.

We’re building the connected system local businesses deserve — so ambitious merchants can start, run, and scale without working around software made for somewhere else.

We’re building a future where local commerce has no ceiling.

South Africa has the businesses, the buyers, and the ambition. What it has not always had is commerce infrastructure to match.

SOLDT brings the essential systems of selling online into one connected platform, shaped around how South Africans actually sell and buy.

Our story

It began with a real business problem.

Before SOLDT was a public platform, it was internal commerce infrastructure for our own businesses. We were solving live problems: products being sold, customers checking out, orders moving, and teams needing systems they could trust.

The first version was known as South African Sellers Suite. Over time, it became clear that merchants did not need another app. They needed a complete local commerce platform. That became SOLDT.

The journey so far

From internal system to public platform.

May 2024

SOLDT was formalised

By the time SOLDT (Pty) Ltd was registered, the early platform technology was already taking shape through real South African ecommerce operations.

Late 2025

Closed beta with selected merchants

We onboarded merchants under real trading pressure to test storefronts, dashboard workflows, and checkout trust before opening publicly.

January 2026

Public launch

SOLDT opened publicly after years of building, operating, testing, and learning inside South African commerce.

Our mission

Make commerce simpler, faster, and more connected.

Not just for the first sale. For the thousandth sale. For the hundred-thousandth sale. For businesses still starting and businesses already scaling.

What guides us

Built on a few clear principles.

Every product decision comes back to the realities of running commerce here.

Local commerce is not a global template with the currency changed.

It deserves products shaped around its own customers, payment habits, delivery realities, and ambitions.

01 Built from real commerce pressure

We were operators before we were platform builders. SOLDT began as internal infrastructure for real products, customers, orders, and businesses that needed systems they could trust.

02 Local is a product decision

Payment options, delivery clarity, mobile experience, manual EFT workflows, and checkout trust all work differently here. South African commerce is not a global template with the currency changed.

03 Everything works better connected

Storefronts, checkout, payments, delivery, customers, marketing, and analytics belong in one operating system — not scattered across a stack of disconnected tools.

04 Simple enough to start. Ready to scale.

The platform should support the first sale, the thousandth sale, and the hundred-thousandth sale without making a growing business rebuild its foundations.

One connected system

Everything a merchant needs,
working together.

  • Storefronts
  • Checkout
  • Local payments
  • Delivery
  • Product management
  • Customer management
  • Email marketing
  • WhatsApp selling
  • Sales channels
  • Analytics

Who SOLDT is for

Every serious business starts somewhere.

The platform behind it should be ready for where it is going.

01

New merchants

Move from idea to first sale with a platform that makes it possible to launch properly without stitching together a stack.

02

Growing brands

Improve checkout, understand customers, sell across channels, and run the business with more confidence from one place.

03

Established retailers

Build on local infrastructure designed around performance, trust, payments, delivery, and operational control at serious volume.

Where we’re going

South Africa is our starting point, not our limit.

We are focused on building the strongest commerce platform for South African businesses. The longer ambition is to help more African merchants access infrastructure built around their realities, compete at a higher level, and build enduring businesses.
