Acceptable Use Policy

I. Purpose

SOLDT provides technology to help merchants build and run successful online storefronts. We expect every merchant to use the platform responsibly, lawfully, and in a way that keeps the platform safe and trustworthy for everyone.

II. General Rule

You may only use SOLDT for lawful purposes and in full compliance with South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), as well as the laws of any other jurisdiction where you operate.

III. Prohibited Conduct & Content

You may not use the Service to engage in, promote, facilitate, or list any of the following:

Illegal or Unlawful Activities

• Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Fraud, scams, money laundering, or terrorist financing
• Bait marketing or any other deceptive trade practices prohibited under the CPA

Prohibited Products & Services

• Counterfeit, stolen, pirated, or intellectual-property-infringing goods
• Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, or related accessories (unless you hold all required legal licences)
• Illegal drugs, controlled substances, prescription medicines (without proper authorisation), or drug paraphernalia
• Tobacco, e-cigarettes, or vaping products
• Adult, sexually explicit, or pornographic content or services
• Gambling, betting, lotteries, or games of chance (unless fully licensed)
• Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or get-rich-quick schemes
• Products made from endangered or protected species
• Any other goods or services banned or restricted by law or our payment partners

Harmful or Offensive Content

• Content that promotes violence, hate, discrimination, harassment, bullying, or self-harm
• Defamatory, abusive, threatening, or obscene material

Fraud, Deception & Spam

• Misleading or false product descriptions, images, or pricing
• Fake reviews, manipulated ratings, or compensated reviews
• Spam, phishing, unsolicited commercial communications, or malware distribution

Technical & Platform Abuse

• Attempting to reverse engineer, hack, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Service
• Creating multiple accounts to evade restrictions or suspension
• Any activity that creates excessive chargeback risk or violates the rules of our payment partners

IV. Intellectual Property

You may not upload, sell, or promote content that infringes any third party's copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights.

V. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP.

We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

• Remove or disable content or listings
• Suspend or permanently terminate your account
• Report violations to law enforcement or relevant authorities where appropriate

VI. Reporting Violations

If you believe any content or store on SOLDT violates this AUP, please report it to us at help@soldt.co.za with full details (including links and description of the issue).

VII. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

VIII. Relationship to Terms of Service

This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Service will prevail.
